Computers are an essential part of daily life these days, but they can be a bit intimidating at first. I can help you with easy hands-on instructions, and I never assume that you already know more than you do. With my basic computer training, I can show you how to use the keyboard and mouse, to navigate the Windows operating system, access the Internet and use e-mail, and how to create documents. I can show you how to shop and bank online without compromising your privacy. I can give you tips and advice to help you avoid common pitfalls, so you’ll be able to use your Windows computer with confidence and take advantage of all that it has to offer.
Before you decide to contact me for tutoring sessions, I suggest that you get a few good Computers For Dummies books. I’ve had specialized computer training, but I’m primarily self-taught, mostly from years of hands-on experience and from reading piles of computer books. The For Dummies books aren’t meant as an insult towards you. With more than 200 million books in print and more than 1,600 titles, the yellow and black For Dummies books are the most widely recognized and highly regarded reference series in the world, their proven experts present even the most complex subjects in plain English, without all the technical jargon.
What Do You Want To Learn About?
I recommend that you sit and think for a while about some of the specific things that you’d like to learn how to do on your computer. I’ll be the first one to admit that I don’t know everything about computers, so a list of things that you’d like to explore will help me determine what I can and cannot teach you, and will help me to customize our tutoring sessions to your specific needs.
Rates & Sessions
Tutoring sessions are on-site in your home or office, within 20 miles of Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
